Paige, the job opportunities for philosophers fall into two categories!.

One, which constitutes the majority of philosophy placements, is teaching philosophy and its sub-areas like metaphysics, logic, etc!., most often at the college level!. At a good college, a PhD may be required!. Academic publications in the field are expected for tenure!.

A small number of philosophers may be employed by think-tanks which operate ethics panels!. Philosophers are instrumental in deciding the fairest ways to distribute severely limited resources, such as donated organs, and work on other ethical problems which need read solutions!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There may be those who arrogate titles!. What these do is unrelated to philosophy and intimately related to pretext!. Those who understand "it" could care less about professionalism; thus you really don't understand "it"!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
