Mind and body are two different phases or qualities of the same thing!. It's like saying the back of your hand is darker than the skin of your palm, but both sides refer to the same hand!.

You can move on to other examples like, you can't possibly tell if it's night if all you had experienced was daytime all your life!. Can you tell if food tastes bitter if you hadn't tasted sweetness to compare it with!?

But mind is not brain!. Brain is the gray matter or physical organ located in one's head!. While mind is the invisible template or blueprint out of which the body with its brain is created or made physical!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

we have 8 senses
5 are gross thro which we see,smell ,etc
3 sutle senses
mind , intelegence ,false ego
when the soul leaves the body u go only with the later three senses u loose the first senses

mind is the not a part of gross body but
mind is the part of the sutle body

Dualism does not necessarily mean the mind and body are separate, but the body and soul i!.e!. the mind is not the soul of a person!. But to answer your question i believe the mind and body are interdependant and as the other guy answered if one goes so does the other!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, it goes against the laws of physics!. To have a soul, it would require an input of energy, and that energy would literally be coming from nowhere, which just isn't possible!. It's a nice idea, but no scientist could support it!. Well, they could, but they'd be a very crap scientist!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Separating the two usually results in death and destruction of both!. But in the future it might be possible to separate the body from mind without destroying both of them in the process!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
