Well, a Human a long time ago probably saw a calf drinking from it's mother cow, took a drink himself, thought "Hey this is good" due to some subconscious desire to be babied again, and then found a way to milk it and then sell milk!.

As for why we still milk cows - Milk is delicious!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

MILK! Okay it's a sad life for cows and I feel the same way as you except milk is healthy, anyway it's sade cuz only the girl cows have utters the boy cows are sent to a sad place (you can imagine! I'm sad now)and the girl cows stay and get milked!. They get to listen to Mozart though!Www@QuestionHome@Com
