Sure, things that do not allow us time to adept to or give warning to prepare for!. Both evolution and adaptation are both useless if you have only a microsecond to apply them before you die!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Contentment seems to be a hard one to adapt to, but that doesn't really apply to ALL humans!.!.!.Humans are great adapters, and i think of allot of things that most people would reject, but some could adapt, so i wouldn't use it in a universal term!.!.!.

I live in America, and i hate the way that our society functions, and i constantly refuse to adapt to it!.!.!.our freewill seems to play the big factor

so the real question is, do humans actually adapt to anything!?
because there will always be some people that won't adapt to anything!.!.!.but as for the individual, i think that any individual has the potential to adapt to anything that doesn't defy physics, or their basic psychological reward system!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Do you mean evolve!? Or adapt!? Individuals adapt irrespective of their genetic heritage!.!.!. and species adapt as a whole because they share the environment and upbringing!. Evolution is genetic and slower than adaptation!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Many, many things!. Lack of oxygen, lack of water, lack of food to name three obvious things!. Sure we can practice going a bit longer without each, but when it comes down to it, you aren't going to adapt out of those needs!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Mentally we can adapt to anything!.
Physically I can only think of hard vacuum or intense heat or cold!.
