Impressions, events, situations and impositions; moments, days, ages and the times; people in our lives, people in their ways, happiness and joy; desires, longings, earnest wishes and dreams; sorrows, sadness and regrets, all things seem to come and go, like the coming of days and nights!.
If all things pass then what remains!? However, I genuinely believe that we ALL come from the "primal void" & YES! literally EVERYTHING IS 100% IMPERMANENT!. And in the end we ourselves return back into the primal void too!. **My sincerely held opinion to your answer is that, the human condition means that we face an existential reality!. And that is that we ARE mortal, our lives are mortal, our bodies are mortal, even our ego self importance ARE mortal!. The truth is we die one day at some point in the future!. There will be NOTHING left of me or you one day, thats a deeply scary & deeply disturbing prospect but thats the real truth!. Deep down we know this but we don't want to face that fact, life is still something we would rather hang onto in my view!. *I hope my answer hasn't upset you its only how I see it!. I'm perhaps more prepared to be honest about this and NOT dodge what I see as the truth!. Or fluff the answer up in religious terms or tell you that god will make it OK when I don't believe any of that non sense personally!. Being mortal is real & so is our death!. I think that the events, feelings, passions and sorrows do pass, but they leave a residue - maybe lines on a face or an outlook of life that is then transferred from mother to child!. Wars and invasions pass, but shape the outlook of a nation, change the colour of the children's eyes!.!. A lovely, special, day out for a young child passes, but the impression of sunshine and peace and safety lasts the rest of his life!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I do believe that all parts of life do pass!. As you stated, events, people, emotions, and dreams do come and go!. What remains constant is up to us!. For example, someone you love very much dies!. However, even though they are not with us physically, they can live on in our minds and hearts for as long as we choose!. If things did not pass and remained the same, life would be unbearable!. Imagine being hurt, lonely, sad or depressed!. We all have these feelings at some time in our lives!. If they did not pass life would not be worth living!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Here's one for us all to think about: How about the theory that there is no such thing as time!? That everything that has ever "occurred," and everything that is yet to "occur," is actually happening right now in this exact moment we are living in!. There is no such thing as "before" or "after," because everything is NOW!. We are merely experiencing the illusion of time, as it is our awareness of this one moment that changes - as opposed to the time itself that is changing!. Why!?Because they are events, controlled by time!. Time keeps moving!.whether you move with it or try to resist, it will continue making the happenings coming and going!.Its rather a transition!. If you want to ask what lasts forever you're pretty much asking what happens after we die, if there is some part of us unattached to the physical that remains!.
