Question: Is It Okay to Be Selfish Sometimes!?

I was talking to a military recruiter once, and he was trying to convince me that I should live for more than just myself!. The country NEEDS me, he says!.

Well I say, "What's wrong with being selfish!?" What's wrong with deciding that the fact that I only have one life means I can do whatever I want with it as long as it doesn't harm innocent people!?

Don't think about what people think about us!. They just don't know how we are from the inside!. They could only judge, without judging themselves, first!. Your live is your way!. Depends!. Selfish sometimes is one thing!. Selfish most of the time is another!. Even people like Martin Luther King and Mother Theresa took time for themselves!. People really needed them to make a difference!. Luckily for us they said yes!.

If you are not selfish, how will you ever cultivate a worthwhile person!? If all you do is sit around all day and think about how you can help others, will you have any skills of you own to offer!? If you don't love yourself, you can't love anybody else, and if you have nothing to offer, you're as much a waste as the people you might help!.
