Question: Was Joseph ever SUSPICIOUS OF his wife's immaculated conception!?
Sometimes I imagined myself being Joseph, and the result is that always I was left with a bitter taste in my mouth and a weight in my head!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Mosaic Law demanded Mary be stoned to death for being pregnant outside marriage, but Joseph wanted instead to "put her away secretly!." There was no need for suspicion, there was hard evidence that Mary was pregnant and Joseph knew it was not by him!. The Bible states that God had to step in and assure Joseph everything was all right, otherwise Joseph would have followed through!.

Matthew 1:18-20 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit!. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly!. But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I am surely no expert on Christian theology, but here is my two cents!. Mary supposedly gave birth without knowing a man's touch!. I am sure that Joseph would of been suspicious that his wife was suddenly pregnant!. Assuming that her hymen was not broken, and she explained that their kid was god's, I am sure that Joseph was aware of God's intention with Mary!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No use knowing it as past can't be changed!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
