In who's court!? Yours, his, hers, mine!? Or the infinite, eternal spirit's!? If fairness, justice, etc!. are critically important considerations to the infinite spirit and there is some point in time in the future when the infinite spirit judge's the quality of the soul it has created and then determines what kind of eternal future it shall have after that, then let's say for instance the wealthy who have acquired their wealth via murder, slavery, etc!., would have an impossible time trying to justify their means of acquisition of that wealth (presuming that the infinite spirit is impartial, i!.e!. without favoritism)!.

Of course, even the poor would have just as impossible of a time trying to justify their inhumane actions toward let's say other poor people for instance!.

Gute Frage, "mortal decay"!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sometimes!. But it's also a very convenient excuse for cruelty and poor choices!. A related saying is that the good of the many outweighs the good of the few!. Fine, unless you're one of the few rather than the many!.

It's often better to make such decisions on a case by case basis, bearing such general principles in mind, but acknowledging the uniqueness of the specific situation!. There are many common "small" situations in daily life where momentary or short term pain or suffering or other limitation is necessary for later -- and larger-- benefit or gain!. Exercising, removing a splinter, setting a bone, going on an austerity budget, dieting, etc!. all require some suffering or unpleasantness for a later benefit!. It's one of our human strengths to be able to look beyond the moment to a later good or benefit!. But it also can be a trick of a power-seeker to use such justifications!. Whenever possible, means and ends both need careful scrutiny before we make a decision, because we're also way too good at rationalizing our bad decisions in this way!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not always but We ALWAYS have to pause and think what is the right thing to do about the means to justify the ends and later have no regrets!.
