Question: What would happen if everyone, the world over, just decided not to do anything just for one day!?

We'd have to talk to whoever we wake up with!.

There'd be noone drivig the train/buses/taxis, and no one in the petrol staion for you to buy petrol!.!.!.so you couldn't go anywhere!.

You couldn't go online!.!.!.cos undoubtedly my ISP would go down!.!.!. but I couldn't get any help with fixing it cos everyones talking the day off!.

I'd have to eat whatever mouldy food is in my fridge, cos there is no one in the shop for me to be able to buy fresh food!.

We couldn't watch TV cos there'd be no body there to organise the broadcasting - and not even anyone to read out the news!. We couldn't listen to the radio cos the presenters are all at home!. We couldn't read a paper cos there'd be no one delivering them - and again can't buy one in a shop cos everyones having the day off!.

There'd be no news happening anyway!.!.!.!. cos everyones just sitting at home, eating mouldy food and drinking tea and chatting to whoever they live with!.

:o)

How awesome would that be!. One day a year - or even every couple of years, the world takes a day off!

You could arrange somewhere to meet you friends (within walking/cycling distance), a park or something and just chill!.

Or perhaps everyone should just stay at home - otherwise all the parks will be overrun!

Just stay at home and chat to the people you live with without any other plans/distractions/tasks getting in the way!.

How often does that happen!?!? never! Someone always has something to do, a job to get to, a phonecall to make, a question to answer, a photo to upload etc etc!.

I would love this to happen!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The clever answer is that if this happens then it would mean that something has already taken place on a global scale, something of a universal magnitude, and this is exactly what I am unwilling to lose sight of while considering your hypothetical question!. As if for some reason, some international public agenda or movement, or by some force at a global scale could bring all people to agree on just one thing then that is truly remarkable, and therefore most noteworthy!. I would say then after one day of testing the power of that something people would gather courage and confidence in themselves!. They would start to believe that they have something that can pull all people along without phasing out in different directions and becoming confrontational all the time!. Then people we aspire to have more things done: For instance, it can be agreed that let devote one day for the cause of the hungry of the world, one day for prayer and one day for home, the list can be endless, but then it all would be possible, I would think so!.

And now the simple answer: It is just that that nothing will happen!. People will go back to work the next morning and soon it all will be forgotten!. Besides, when we come to think like this we realize that nothing of this sort has ever happen, and therefore rest assured nothing ever will!. We all can go back to work, resume normality, and be realistic as opposed to being hypothetical!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You mean literally not do anything at all!?
If that's the case, then I suppose it will be a day when nobody did anything!. The answer is that nothing much would happen!. We would all be sitting around not doing anything!. Although if you're sitting around, that technically would constitute as doing something!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
