I don't know what about the influence, but I certainly match my name with some bad memories!. Some!? A lot!. Dóra is my middle name, but I use it instead of my first name, and sometimes teachers, who don't know me, call me my first name!. My classmates find it really funny!. They always called me my first name when they wanted to hurt me!. They know how much I hate it!. I don't like pet names either (Dee :P), I have always thought of myself Dóra!. I think I'll change my name in a few years!. I'll drop my first name as well as my last name!. Does Dóra Sors sound good!? (shorsh)!. It means fate both in Latin and Hungarian!. Hah!. Dr!. I believe that ordinary or common names perhaps do not have much influence!.!.!.!. it is the somewhat extraordinary or unusual names which probably do create a situation where they may end up having an influence on the personality!.!.!.!.!.!. this perhaps happens somewhat indirectly!.!.!. an unusual name gives others the scope to either appreciate or ridicule or otherwise draw parallels!.!.!.!. and this begins to happen right from childhood friends and acquaintances during the formative years!.!.!.!.!. if it is positive the person begins to specially exert to live up to it and if it is negative then the person who is unable to change the given name simply struggles with it!.!.!. either way the person ends up taking more than necessary cognizance of the name which thus influences the development of his/her personality!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Though I never believed in most of such relative things but about this one, I'm sure it makes a huge influence on one's personality, like a person's face creates a self image, the name is an even bigger attribute for creating a self image- what others think & how you feel!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

actually i do believe that your name has an effect on your personality and the way you act!. no not really!. i had gone through a rough time in life "life tiff" and decided to go on with a different name!. i was still treated the same by even the new people i met so i think it might influence to a degree but not alot!. my second name is alot more loudish than my real name!. ( ok i sound like a stripper but noooo ) but even with my loudish name compaired to my real name there has been no difference!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think so!. I have a unique name that like!.!.!.no one has!. It's not weird or anything, but I don't know very many Virginia's!. :]] I am a bubbley girl full of life and ideas!. Even though not in all cases, in few cases yes!.
practical example:
If the name sounds different or wild or strange there is attention from the society!. Responses to that from the society definitely influences the personality of the name holder!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i was traumatized by name as a child bcuz of everyones need to belt out "Roxanne!.!.!.u dont have to turn on the red light" whenever I told them my name!.!.!.!.grrrrrr!!!! but i dont think it had a negative affect on my personality!.!.!.i just hated it!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Absolutely, you don't see too many criminals and drug addicts named Preston, but many strippers named, Brandi and Candi!. But I definitely think there are exceptions, a great many of them in fact, to such a rule of thumb!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
