Question: Would you rather suffer being locked up in prison for 20 yrs!. for a crime you never committed -OR- be dead!?
Why!?
The reason why I ask this is because I suffer Tourette's Syndrome, & I almost got arrested many times because of my uncontrollable outbursts!. I feel like, if it's meant for me to be in prison for 20 yrs!., being punished for something that's not my fault or that I can't control, then there's no point in staying alive!.
I don't want to go to jail/prison, but when people report my TS outbursts, they try to add in stuff that never happened & overexaggerate ON PURPOSE, JUST to get me to stay locked up longer!. I'm not a criminal, but people surely do a great job of making me out of one!.
I'm 24 with a college degree!. I'm trying hard, even though there's no luck yet, to pursue my career as a Spanish translator!. I want to accomplish productive goals in my life!. I'm afraid my life will be over very soon-meaning be in jail-because they don't understand my illness!. I had 2 strokes @ age 5!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Some people just don't seem to understand!. Your outbursts don't mean anything really and there some people, like your family and friends who understand!. What some people may not realize is that if you start to have an outburst, that it is nothing you want to say, or that you can control!. It's like when you have an awful cough!. Don't try to hold it in, hon!. Sure, you may get the stink eye from some awful person, but mostly, people will understand!. Life is full of risk and they're totally worth taking!. Don't give up now!. And you definately don't deserve being in jail!. Don't let tourettes take over your life!. Persue your goals and live the dream!. It may be a struggle, but you will definately be sucessful!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think some people need to be properly educated on illnesses such as Tourette's!. I had no idea what exactly it was for the longest time I was just told "It's when you yell random things out of nowhere" uhh yeah right!. I remember watching this show on MTV called True Life and they show people who have the illness and it really opened my eyes and I did some more research on it!. I'm not going to sit here and say I understand your plight because obviously I don't but all I will say is just hope and pray for the best and try to surround yourself around positive and honest people who won't manipulate a situation to make you seem like an evil person!. But to answer the question I don't think I would want to die I would pray the jury for my case wasn't brainless and could see through the lies and hopefully I have a really good lawyer to get me acquitted!. I sure as hell don't want to go to prison for a month let alone 20 years!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
I feel for you!. The world is often one of ignorace, where people choose to judge rather than to understand!. The best thing you can do is educate those who do not understand Tourette's!. You will be standing up for yourself and bettering the individuals who may have original judged you!.
As for jail though!.!.!.
Everything in life can be spun into an opprotunity!. It is about how you perceive it in your mind!. So I ask!.!.!. What better opprotunity to read, write, think, and get to understand the world!.!.!. that a 20 year period of solitude!?
I do truely believe that you will not be faced with a prison sentance!. An officer may be ignorant!.!.!. but have faith in checks and balances of the justice system!.
But I do ask!.!.!. Have you already imprisoned your mind in the belief that there is nothing more to life!?
You have the opprotunity to better the world through educating the ignorant!. The best educators are those with personal expirience!. Embrace your difference's and use utilize them for the betterment of something more than yourself!.
