Superficially, insanity is measurement against a range of psychological norms for a whole range of psychoses!. Intelligence is the measurement against some type of intelligent quotient (IQ)!. The problem arises though that what is the correct measure of normality or abnormality!? I think this is the question you're asking!? Now, cognitive ability and psychoses is measured against a range of norms!. So the question is answered when you know where you fit on the bell curve, supposedly!? There are of course exceptions - savantism for example, and sociopathological geniuses!.
I'm not sure that you can know if you see things "insane" or "smart", since society and group dynamics tends to alienate both!.
Socially, I think the important thing here is not to judge yourself by just the perceptions of others!. (That is unless the others are psychiatrists perhaps!?)Www@QuestionHome@Com

What is "unhealthy"!?

1!. Physical suffering, dis-ease, etc!.
2!. Emotional suffering, dis-ease, etc!.
3!. Mental anguish, suffering, etc!.
4!. Spiritual suffering, loss of soul, loss of salvation, etc!.

Pascal noted that it is "smart" to do a few clear positive investments, in order to enhance your likelihood of gaining an infinite amount of Good (eternal salvation)!. Such investments are smart, in that they are generally positive anyway, and one is likely to gain infinite Good if God Is!. (These "investments" = "Love God completely, love colleague as Self, even Love as Christ, Truth, Loves!.")

When you succeed it is not always clear whether you are smart or lucky but in failure we van discover the truth!.

To try the same action repeatedly and expect a different result than your previous attempts is insane!.

While to examine your failure and adjust your actions so that you may succeed the next time is smart!.

Insane: to do the same thing over & over again expecting different results!. The only opinion we have is our own & it will always be our personal opinion!.
