It is us that should remove the evil from this earth, not God!.
Empathy and compassion are but a few characteristics that separate us from the animals that we share this planet with!.

As we continue to evolve to a higher level of existence, we become more aware of our surroundings, our purpose, our values towards the planet and everything that lives here!. We learn from the mistakes of our ancestors!. We see the harm from greed and the love of money!. We learn to appreciate all forms of life and help those less fortunate than ourselves!.

Most of the wars are behind us, our society is more diverse than ever before as we pursue tolerance and respect!. To see that life is more important, and religions are but private personal choices that are not to be indoctrinated into others, but discovered!.
We are only half way through our journey, so why should "God" step in and end the story!? It's designed that we as humans eventually rid the world of evil, or evil rids the world of us!. It's a great story, i only wish i could be around to see how it will end!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm an agnostic, but I can give you one-only one-argument about how the existence of evil could be tolerated by God!.
As many theologians have said,it has to do with free will-
humans are flawed in nature since only God can be perfect!.
Being flawed, evil exists within us!. The only way to prevent
some-or,most-from succumbing to it and doing evil acts
would be to remove the free will God supposedly gave us!.
Theoretically, that would lessen the value of our souls, and make us less than what we presently are!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Benedict de Spinoza said that the difference between good and evil is merely one of personal inclinations: "So everyone, by the highest right of Nature, judges what is good and what is evil, considers his own advantage according to his own temperament!.
There is no universal evil as it is defined differently according to people and cultures!.
Now with your question, If God is absolute goodness then God can not create absolute evil, so if absolute evil existed then the absolute evil is as powerful as god and thus the uniqueness of supreme being is in question!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There are two forms of evil , Physical Evil and Moral Evil!.

Physical evil is a result of the state of journeying toward its ultimate perfection in which God created the world, involving the existence of the less perfect alongside the more perfect, the constructive and the destructive forces of nature, the appearance and disappearance of certain beings!.

Moral evil, however, results from the free choice to sin which angels and humans have!. It is permitted by God, who knows how to derive good from it , in order to respect the freedom of his creatures!.The entire revelation of God's goodness in Christ is a response to the existence of evil!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

1)A man has a child and the child is obedient and loves his father!. Then the father has many sons but some become bitter because they want to admire their own selves and pretend to be better than their father!. It is right to say the father does not exist because his sons choose to disobey him!!? So the father allows the disobedient sons to live so that the good sons shall receive his blessings and he separates his good family from the disobedient ones and those who say he never was!.
2) Evil is a choice, not a creation!. Yet, a baby is a creation, but not evil, but not all babies make their parents proud!. Why do they say the parent should not have a child if a child might choose to be offensive, does this prove that the parent should not exist!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

There is no proof of the existence of god

Theists and religious apologists come up with various weak arguments, such as 'evil exists so that we may strive against it, thus proving our goodness' and 'we have free will, evil is a choice' or the really pathetic 'it is all part of a great plan we just do not understand'!.

However, from a purely philosophical view, your argument is not sound, the presence of evil does not refute the existence of god!. God could tolerate evil because he himself is evil, or because he is indifferent to the suffering of his creation!. It is only an argument against the loving nature of god!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

God gave humans free will!.
When you have free will you have choices!.
Sometimes humans make the wrong choices and this brings evil and suffering itno the world!.
The problem is caused by humans not by the creator God!.

God could have made us like robots, pre programmed to do good!. He didn't, he gave us free will and some humans abuse thisWww@QuestionHome@Com

If god, the toymaker, made all living things on this planet then why is he so uptight about good and evil!.!.!.!.!.!.!.he programmed us!. Whatever we do is his fault and he's only acting like a spoilt kid if he expects us to take the blame for his bad workmanship!.

Can't he sod off for a while and populate some other planet like Mars, maybe he'll get it right there!!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com
