Question: Neighbour cutting our tree beyond the fence line, more than half is cut!?
Our neighbour has cut back three tress of ours,
which were planted by the original owner of our
property 10 years ago!.

From their side of the fence they lent over and cut
away more than half of the trees, a foots length
beyond the fence from their side!.

They have lived there for eight years and we have
lived here for seven years!.

One of the trees a beautiful silver birch (which they cut back a year ago) is now dead but still standing and one of the two remaining trees they cut today will surely die too!.

They did not get in contact with us prior to the destruction and have not yet!.

We live in Western Australia!. What should we do!?

Please help us!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, you could press charges, which could possibly lead to even more future ill will, or you could try talking to them, and come to some sort of agreementWww@QuestionHome@Com

After 30 yrs of being a neigthbor, I've learned that the best policy is to get along and disregard minor intrusions or offenses!. My present neighbor - young in years - appeared at first to choose beligerance, but I 'niced' him sufficiently that he and his wife and children have metamorphed into ideal neighbors!. Warfare between neighbors can eventually evolve into the sort of stories that make the newspapers!. It's called sh-ting in your nest!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

be a better neighbor in the future and cut your trees before they intrude on other people's propertyWww@QuestionHome@Com
