What do you visualize when you think of "God"?

Question: What do you visualize when you think of "God"!?

This is a question for people of all religions, atheists, or agnistics!.

Personally, I'm an atheist, but even you atheists out there must visualize something when you hear the word God!. After all, we hear people talking about this "God" character all the time, so you must have some visualization of what God is!.

I'm not going to bias you with my opinion, but I'm curious as to what other people think!.

Keep in mind, this doesn't have to be a person, or even an animal!. For all I care, God could be a Ford Model-T!. Tell me your honest visualization!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, good question and well written!.!.!.

Let me see!. Oh, that word brings to my mind not exactly a thing, a concrete thing, with form, color or any other secundary feature!. What comes is, you know, a notion of an immaterial object that maybe a dimension made of energy, not determined but existing for sure, or (depending on the linguistic and situational contexts), a force that not influences the mundane happenings, but make them possible, leaving causality go naturally!.

Using the mind to understand God is like dipping your toe in chicken soup in order to know what it tastes like!.

This question is like the cells of your body asking other cells how they visualize the whole person of which they are apart of!.

Reminds me of an Indian parable of three blind men touching an elephant!. One touches its leg and says it is a tree!. Another touches its trunk and says it is a snake and the third touches its tail and says it is a reed!.

I once found the following poem and that's for me how I see the God character, he has no defined form, he is the world surrounding us, he is nature:

The child whispered, `God, speak to me'
And a meadow lark sang!.
The child did not hear!.

So the child yelled, `God, speak to me!'

Hmm!.!.!. well, I'm not a Theist and lack a lot of the understanding of what God might look like!. When I try to put a face to their God, I cant help but default to that pop image of an old white guy and a beard!.

Our religion has already framed the picture of God in our minds!. I am a Hindu!. so when I think of God , I think of Lord Rama and Krishna!. God is the great "I AM"
He just is all and he created the earth even if it was the big boom theory, something or body had to create that!?
Now it's the Jesus part I have trouble with and the "Holy Ghost" and the Virgin Mary!? I just have trouble with that concept!.
It will be a bummer to find out God is a fish and created us in his image and fish became man like some people believe!. ich
