The first thing that came into my mind when I read your question was the image of a mushroom cloud!. It has been described as awesome, with rainbow hues or other bright and fantastic colors by some onlookers!. But it is by far one of the most horrible weapons ever used by humans!. If I was thinking about a person with terrible beauty, perhaps it would be someone who was very desireable, but cruel and heartless at the same time!. To say it another way, it would be something or someone that was compelling and abhorrent at the same time!.Www@QuestionHome@Com its beauty is so strong that it has the capability of ruining the onlooker through desire, that desire eating up everything else like family, fortune, friends, health, clear thinking, wisdom so that the item of beauty may be possessed even for a moment to just alleviate the suffering that desire to hold the terrible beauty has!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com i also think in books that it is sometimes used in reference to something or someone who is beautiful but also dangerous, with the power to destroy you, eg a demon queen, or a beautiful storm, volcano eruption, vast expanse of ice, rocks, water etc!. these things are all immensly beautiful but also terrible to both behold and experience!.Www@QuestionHome@Com In my opinion, it can mean that Beauty is sometimes a terrible thing because of the side effects beauty can bring!.
