WAR is never least or most desirable option to keep anything!. The only most (read: MOST) desirable way to control population is basic 'education'!. (Birth-control idea comes from the educated persons, but failed in many countries, many nations, because the usefulness or consciousess of the same reached to the uneducated persons!.
Here is a saying from few poor souls, Ahh, God bless them with sense: They think, if I have 1 son, this family will have 1 earning person in future; if I have 10 children, my family will get 10 earning members!"

Don't you!. The only thing war brings is, an uneven world!. Haterd, poverty, etc!.

The most desirable alternatives would be self control, one for one!. Realizing that EVERYONE of us are responsible, and should control our ownself, let alone say "why should I be the one" "Children are gifts of god" etc!. You provide for those children!. And unless you can provide, proper food, clothing and education, you should not even think of bring one into the world, cause you will only make it suffer in the long run!.

There are so many orphans who need parents, and parents who need children!. Best option and the most humane would be to adopt so that they may have a chance and you may have a child to love!. I know they say biological children are more desirable, but it would be a sin to bring them into this world, and not have enough to raise them with!. It would turn them into either criminals or pushover, who go through life, either begging, or making due with handovers, and resent those who do the handing over!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I agree with Ella!. If the power elite can get people fighting between themselves about non-issues they can get more control!. The problem is not a lack of resources but a sharing of and proper use of resources!.
