First try to understand what is fate!. for example normally you can't live 200 years, you can't fly without plane, can't live without oxygen or you probably could not have saved yourself if you were present in twin tower at 9/11 etc!. on otherside you are born with freewill can become goodguy or badguy, can choose any career or life style, become rich or bankrupt, if you become careless can shorten your life and if you are health conscious can prolong your life, can have many friends or enemies!. Fate is there, depends on what kind of fate you choose for yourself!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The power to predetermine events, or an inevitable fortune that befalls a person!?

Events can be controlled better, when you are in control of events!.
In other words, you can control your fate to a certain degree, ie!., you study hard, you pass the test!. You fail to study, you fail the test!.
Other events that are not within your control can also effect your fate, ie!., your father has a hereditary heart condition which gets passed on to you!.

Fate itself is questionable!. Fate, in my opinion, is hard work and effects of past actions masquerading as luck!. It is an excuse to explain something when we don't want to find a deeper meaning or a deeper reason for the truth and facts of life!. I would rather have the hard work and actions shine through!. As far as changing fate- change your actions, change your ethics, change what you must, but please, don't blame it on luck or chance!. The closest thing to fate is God's plan for us!. He, however, can only give us opportunities to take those blessings and multiply them in a God pleasing way, in which he will open more doors for us!. We can also choose to not take these doors and abuse God's gifts!. Way back in the Garden of Eden, sin entered the world when God gave us the gift of freewill!. Isn't it ironic that one of these opportunities abused gave us what now causes us to abuse even more of these wonderful things that, through God, is opened to us!?
