People don't believe in free will for many reasons!. Some believe in Gods which are all-powerful and controlling!. Some believe in fate and destiny!.

I believe that the underlying reason that people refuse to believe in free will is because they're terrified by it!.

The free will of every single person on earth means that there is no knowing!.!.!. no plan!. Everything is left to the decisions of fallible and often unreliable and irrational humans!.

Your life can be impacted in so many ways that you have absolutely no control over that!.!.!. people can't come to terms with it and instead have invented things like "fate" and "destiny" to reassure themselves that there IS a grand scheme and that everything happens for a reason!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well then, I prove otherwise by willingly forgetting they exist, or believing that they will be proven wrong -which I've just done, it's a very personal thing don't you see!.!.!. (Amusing but valid if thought about!.)

People without enough knowledge and process action to strengthen the appearance of it in their lives, have such a diminished capacity to exercise it, that they don't believe it exists any more!.

Some people do not want to own up the responsibility that accompanies the idea of freewill!.!.!.!.!.!.!. some find the ever present uncertainties as incompatible with freewill!.!.!.!.!.!. finally there are those who think too much and find everything, including freewill, as an illusion in this world!.
