Question: Why do we use Yahoo answers!?
I can't find any logic to it!.!.!.we are helping random people by answering their questions, but why!? we don't get to see the result, we don't know if it actually helped anything!.!.!.Yet I'm slightly entertained/addicted to it!.!.!.WHY!? do we see it like a video game!? do we feel appreciated!? do we actually think we are helping the world!? Is it just to pass the time!? Am i loser for spending time on YA!? am i a loser for wasting my time asking this question!?
I'm sure everyone has their own reasons, so let me know!.!.!. why are you reading my question right now!? why did you waste your life, reading my nonsense!? Why are you wasting your time to write an answer!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Like anything, I think it's oversimplistic to say everyone comes here for the same reason!. Some come here to try to convince everyone they're right, you see a lot of this in the religion section!. Some geuinely want to help people!. Even if you don't see the person, just the idea that you may have helped someone is a good feeling!. Some come here to put other's down, you will see this in the mean answers!. Some may come just because they're lonely!.
For me it's a bit of pride, I like to marvel at my answer when it's chosen as the best one, hehehe, perhaps a bit narcissistic!. A bit of resolving loneliness!. And a bit of really wanting to help people!. It's a good feeling to know you used your unique knowledge or abilities to help someone else!.
I think as time goes by the volume on the pride knob has been turned down and the volume on the helping knob has been turned up!. The reasons for this, I believe, a combination of myself growing and maturing and experience with YA, I just feel better about the questions I answer in the spririt of helping or just having fun!.
The side benefits are that I've developed some good relationships with my contacts!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
its a form of communication!. humanity craves (it)!.
its an exchange of ideas in some ways!. its expressing opinions!. and having an opinion accepted as valid is vindication!. we crave that too!.
its reasoning in hyper drive and its accessable at 11:37 pm when no one else is around to exchange with!.
