In the 21st century, NO, Man is not in the Slightest the most Intelligent Creature, there are many+many Creatures / animals far more intelligent then man today, dolphins and Whales for a start, (and Creature is a good word to use for today modern Man), Yes it certainly is a very vain Creature today, sure isn't the prettiest, and is about the most Cruel Creature on this Planet today!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes I believe by the definition of intelligence we as a whole are the most intelligent and able to UNDERSTAND and adapt to our surroundings!. As to your second remark,

"Without the aid of trained emotions the intellect is powerless against the animal organism!."

With our understanding of the surroundings we realize how to manipulate them and become self-seeking!. This power will corrupt when not kept in check by love and mercy for others!. Even this can be argued that man is the most intelligent creature on the planet!. This can be argued that human intelligence is not nearly related to, and as good as, the intelligence of general nature as in plants and animals!. The natural intelligence is simply natural!. All its applications and manifestations are for good reasonable purposes!. It is sustainable both in its operations and in its state that is a state based upon fixed cycles of decay and growth as it is none-developmental!. Human intelligence, on the other hand, unlike the intelligence of general nature, is not fixed, it is restless and developmental, but it is also experimental and therefore is wasteful and prone to errors!.

I personally sometimes find plants and animals to be wiser than humans, if not more intelligent, in their own special way!. I have not seen any cat or a bird being unreasonable, or in need to douse their frustration down with splashes of entertainment, or throwing food away just because last time they went for shopping they end up buy more than they could consume!.

But I do not things human beings vain, ugly or most cruel!. I think it is just the way we are that sometimes fatally enables us to do wrong and unnatural things, sometimes the thing that are against our own nature!. It is the intelligence based upon free will and ability to choose that often puts us at loggerheads with other purposes in the nature!. It is not that we are badly intelligent, or that we are bad because we are intelligent, it is just that we are differently intelligent than all other things, and in that difference we are unique without won individual selves, and all this sometimes adds up to us being wrongly committed or overly critical of all things, I suppose!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
