Question: Compare Parable of the Ten Talents to Plato's Allegory of The Cave!?
I have to do this for an assignment, and i was just looking for a little helpful insight!. Im going to go with the theme of " once you are set up and where you need to be, you should help those less fortunate!." Anyone have any insights or tips on this!? I greatly appreciate it, thanksWww@QuestionHome@Com

Plato's Allegory of The Cave illustrates man's perception of reality via forms rather than experiencing truth directly!. The ten talents (I am assuming you are referring to Jesus' parable) illustrates that if one uses one's spiritual gifts one will receive even more and those that do not use will lose all that they have!.

I see no comparison, except in that the third servant and the people in the cave by doing nothing receive nothing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The physical world comes from the formless, the creator, and without it has no substance!. Taking it to the smallest particle we find it is not particle but waves!. We are like waves in the ocean, seemingly separate, but the whole ocean is in us like a hologram!. The ocean is infinite and gives us our resources and purpose!. Thinking it to be finite or scarce will prevent us from sharing it!. We only receive what we give!.

That should give you something to work with!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i honestly see so similarities!. i know platos allegory well, and i just read the ten talents!. and i can see nothing!. the talents story isnt about giving to the less fourtunate and in a sense the cave is but not really!. i cant make a connection so sorry and good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The whole purpose of an assignment is to open your mind and create your own thoughts!.!.!.so mine would be irrelevant, if not dishonest!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
