In my opinion Macintyre's sees the idea of virtue should supplement rather than replace moral rules!. Following moral rules is a matter or "moral luck"!. Good judgment of individuals emanates from the development of a good character!. One in which a virtuous person decides but rather through the virtues of life that enable moral action to be both directed to its correct ends and consonant within It's moral rationality!.

Kant on the other hand, follows a Kantian deontology which focuses on the rightness or wrongness of actions themselves as opposed to the rightness or wrongness of the consequences of those actions!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
