Question: How do you keep your friends!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
In the end the answer to your question simply becomes: you can't!.

To some extent, yes, being yourself, being loyal and trustworthy, kind and caring with friends can keep them!. But everyone is constantly changing and going through new things, people will grow closer to each other and more distant sometimes, and people will often move away - for any number of reasons, that could be beyond your control!. It may not be the best example, but as something perhaps people can relate to, consider the move from high school to college, when you seperate from many of your friends and go off to different schools!. You might keep up contact and even be friends for a couple more years, but distance is hard and in most cases those old friendships are replaced by new ones!. Most people will have many friendships that fade in their lifetime, and many new ones too, always replacing the old ones that fade or fail!.

So you really can't keep your friends, but if you are true to yourself and act in a generally good natured way toward your friends, the time you do have with them will be much nicer!.

I do not believe any friendship is really permenant though!. As that probably sounds horrible pessimistic, it isn't really, and it doesn't stop me from making friends and having fun!. So yes, be you, be honest, loyal, compassionate, listen to them when they talk, be there for them when they need you - all of that stuff people say you should do - but also realize there may be a time you are no longer friends, and just accept that!. I think accepting that makes the time we have with our friends more meaningful, and it grounds us too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have a lot of friends!. If you want to keep them, you must feel to them that they are very special to you and no one is best than they are! You must provide warm caress to them!. And no matter what had happen try to make that its all ok!. Just trust them since trusting is more than loving!.!.!. Perhaps, you love a person but you don't trust them, its useless!. Unless if you trust them, you certainly trust them in everything!. You really love them!. But most importantly is, just be yourself but adjustment to others is also needed!. Be considerate also!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There is a saying: "If you want to have friends, be one" and that is what I do!. I just become a friend to my friends!. I support them in whatever they do, listen to them when they want to talk about problems, spend time with them!. It's hard because we work and have different schedules but with the advent of email and technology it makes it easier to keep in touch with them through little notes!. Communication is the key to keeping friendships alive and strong!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
