well as a muslim we beileve it is, we beilive Allah (God) is testing us, this would determine if we go heaven or hell!. Allah tests us in every way, all us humans are made endure difficulties, hardship and pain which challenges us, Allah lets his servants(us) suffer but he gives many rewards over it in this life and the next!.

im not very good at remebering everything about why Allah has put us on this earth, but u will surely find information perhaps on internet, and reading the english version of the Quran which has full details of our purpose on this earth!.

the quran has a beautiful description of our purpose, and hwo we must pass!.

And the idea of right and wrong are argued, so it can't be a test, because you can't pass it!. Or it is a test, but there is no answer, other than the answer you make!.
