Question: White history month, W!.E!.T, etc!.!?
How much conflict do you believe would be caused if we were to have a white history month or like the channel B!.E!.T (black entertainment television) we have a W!.E!.T channel (White ent!. t!.v!.) Or instead of white people who say ( those of whom who do) "sup my n*gga" when talking to friends, were to replace "n*gga" with Cracka or honkey!. Ex; "Sup my cracka"

Whites have a rich history, far greater than blacks, we should have a white history month!. We do not need to call eachother "cracker" or "honkey" because we have self respect!. We do not need a special TV station for us because we are not attention w!.h!.ores like the blacks!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
True equality can never exist because those who have endured hardships at some point or another are always going to want recognition for it!. With Black History Month and the like, it pushes towards reverse racism!. I know that racism is a very touchy subject, but honestly - Races and Genders have their own months makes each stand out above the rest, leaving everyone else wondering, where is White History Month, where is Native American Recognition Day!.!.!. True equality will never exist because of this simple fact!.
The same goes for Affirmative Action with employment, putting minorities into positions that otherwise would have been filled by a potentially better candidate simply because of status!. Reverse racism is racism all the same!.!.!. No I'm not Pro-white, black, jew, taoist, christian etc!.!.!.!. I just think people need to realize that to be equal, we all need to understand each other, each others history and hardships and feel equal!.

Well, lets answer these questions in order shall we!? First, if you have never been to a history class in the United States, most of it is white history!. If there weren't classes focused on the history of black people or other minority groups, our accomplishments would go largely unnoticed!. Second, how many show are there right now on the major networks with starring roles for minorities!? (excluding comedies and God awful reality television shows and I don't mean shows with a token Black character)!. Third, who ever said that it was okay for anyone (black or white) to use the N word!? Just because some Black people use it does not mean that it has been sanctioned by every single Black person in the world!.
As a side note, why is this question even in philosophy!? It would be more fitting in the sociology section!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
I'm white and i don't have anything against black history month!.!.!.i know it's very sensitive and confusing, but jeez our fathers fathers father put them through some serious bullsh*t, i may have had nothing to do with it, but the least i can do is let them know that I'm sorry for my ancestors mistakes!.!.!.!.

yea I'm not a fan of affirmative action in the current state, yea I'm not to crazy at how most black people tend to be more racist then white people, yea I'm tired of it too, but we brought it upon ourselves!.!.!.the least we can do is give them a month to let them know that we are still sorry and we will always be!.!.!.!.we've done our part, we apologized, but the majority of black people in America haven't accepted our apology yet, so black history month can be somewhat symbolic of America saying sorry, the fact that we have a month dedicated every year to saying that we are sorry, seems like a pretty sincere apology, and i have no complaints!.!.!.
now B!.E!.T that's a different story, that is sickening and degrading to the entire race of black people, it stereotypes black people to have the image of the proud idiot!.!.!.and don't even get me started on all the problems the media is causing in America!.!.!.I happen to know allot of black people that are pissed off about the same things we are, and they are sickened by the image as well!.!.!.
