Question: Do you think Nietzsche advocated finding your niche in society!?
Perhaps I'm confusing Nietzsche with Confucious!.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Nietzsche was definitely not influenced by Confucius!. Confucius was interested in the order of society and not the development of dominate individuals!.

Instead of finding your niche, Nietzsche would advocate that you create a dominate niche in society or, even more, in the environment that society was a part of!. In Nietzsche the individual was more important than society!. Since humanity is a social animals this creates conflicts in goals!. Nietzsche is popular among people who get their first whiff of philosophy but it is not a practical philosophy that leads to resolving conflicts or augmenting the society one lives in!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Niche-y, not to confuse us, is Confucius!.
Nietzsche is not the herd round the world!.
"A Philosophy of Universality" is more Confucian, and "Man, Master of His Destiny," is more stand up and fight Nietzschean!. Both are lectures (book form) by O!. M!. Aivanhov!.

"Freakonomics," S!. Levitt, has a good Confucian explanation of economics, and "Alcatraz versus the Evil Librarians," Brandon Sanderson, has a Nietzschean interpretation of young wizards!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
