Man sets his own 'moral standards' which are slightly hard to achieve (in general, like being kind, honest etc) but not totally impossible just so he can keep trying!. But when talked about seemingly impossible things, replies "God wouldn't want me to do it!." "God would never say such and such" !.!.!.thereby bending the reality to suit his own terms!. Where then does God exist, except in ones own mind!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

that's a really good point!. Man, since the birth of judaism, or any other single-god worshipping religion, for that matter, has always believed that god created them!. but did we create god to our image using our imagination!.
this questions whether God really exists, and it could go on for ages!. but the idea that God is there helps us, i think!.
you ask where does God exist except in ones own mind and you can't really answer that because the world has seen no pphysical living proof of any God!.
but if God does only exist in our mids, it doesnt mean he doesn't exist!. we do all our actions according to what we think God wants, or how God might react!. whether or not he is real, the idea keeps us in place and makes us human!. God may be a figment of our imagination, but the idea helps us and sets some rules for us to live by!. it doesn't matteer where God exists, as long as the idea does!.

God is a mechanism/escape valve/path/alternative/solution/reason for coping with human's inner fear of the unknown beyond the threshold of death!.
From the earliest of times, thinking man would question things around him: inequitability, unfairness, retribution for deeds, wonder of the vast nature, eternity, infinity, purpose of life, and myriads of mysteries, etc!.
But if the belief/faith in a higher force can bring about sense of well-being for believers, does it matter whether God made man in his image or vice versa!? If by having the belief enhance your purpose of BEING, and serves humanity better, then the notion of having "GOD" could be a gift to mankind!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

GENESIS1:27( and God made man in his own image)!. NOT E; man was made in the image of God but was not programmed as a robot!. Man was given the power of choice; people who do what they only make the choices they presume to be right!. God is real and is everywhere but he will not lead your way except you invite him to!. So don't be surprised when a man decides to suit himself; he has only neglected God!. That's his choiceWww@QuestionHome@Com

man made god in his own!.

Nietzsche said that if horses had a god, it would look alot like a horse as well!.!.!.!.

man set his own 'moral standards', individuals have different moral standards, but we have a basic contract we all agree with, like "don't kill unless for direct self-defense!.!.!.!.etc"

I can't believe the christians out there that say "god didn't want me to do this or that"!. It makes god human, therefore he doesn't exist!. If there was a god, how the hell would they know what god thinks!? then god is just a state of mind!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

that only flies if you believe in traditional dogma style churches!.
if our spirts were in a body to learn specific lessons in life your answer would be found!.
all lessons in school have certain levels of passing!. a b c d flunk
if we handle a life lesson with a c for example!.!. we still pass and move on to the next level!.
most importantly after each life lesson GOD is not the judge of us!.!.!. we are our own judges!. probably harder than god!.
but if we learn to love and forgive ourselves!. then we will love and forgive others!. and since a part of god is in all others we will learn to love god!.!. and in love their is no sinWww@QuestionHome@Com
