I believe that abuse is abuse and should be fought at all costs!. However, I do believe mental abuse to be the worse of the two!. Physical abuse usualy heals!. It's only a matter of time!. Some people take seconds, others minutes, hours, days, weeks or months, and some even years but at the end they heal!. However, mental abuse never heals, except in very exceptioanl cases!. There is something called a self-fulfilling prophecy whic takes place during mental abuse!. A person who is used to being mentally abused and illtreated as, say, someone useless and stupid, eventually comes to think of himself as stupid even though this was not true in the beginning!.

Mental abuse eats into a person's soul, making the person act in an irrational way!. The person, in trying to attend to the criticisms direster towards him, ends up spoiling himself!. Mental abuse is all the more sinister, if I might say so, than physical abuse, because it is often veiled and not very apparent!. It is in some ways like intellectual terrorism which is a slow and quite hidden process!.

It really depends on the person who is abused!.

Though mental abuse is crippling on a developmental level, physical abuse can be just as devastating to a person!.
But we should also remember that one can lead to the other, physical abuse will manifest emotionally, as emotional abuse will manifest physically, as mind and body are so intertwined!.

Since all abuse has deep felt ramifications in the psyche and the body, causing social retardation, lack of independence, co-dependence, and a myriad of sociopathic behaviors, one can assert that really they are one in the same!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I belive mental im bi-polar and the worst thing in the world is to hear voices in your head and to just feel so unbelibly crazy and feel like you have no control over your mind
and batteling anxiety is the worst and so hard
its scary
and people just make it even worse and they tell you your crazy and you need help

and physical pain could never measure up to that i personaly think!.

Mental abuse, because if someone is physically abusing you, with mental abuse, you won't fight back!.

I was mentally and physically abused by my ex, but over time, I secretly gained confidence!. Sometimes you have to form a "2nd personality" to do this!. The last time he hit me, I punched him back, HARD, which surprised him!. He didn't hit me again, and I broke up with him and became FREE!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would say that mental abuse is worse!.Because you do not know what to think!. you end up fighting your self and hence finding a solution would be a big problem!.Why, because its up to you to come up to find the solution-remember you are fighting your self!.
