No, soul mates are emphasized by movies, stories, music!.!.!.!. If you believe in soul mates, it can be dangerous!. Scientists are beginning to look at lovesickness as a mental disorder!.

Besides, if the world was an odd number of populations, one person wouldn't have a soulmate, so that eliminates the possibility that we all have "soulmates"!.

definetely i answered your question if i believe in such term, but the thought is soul mate symbolizes partnership and "comparison" between two living organisms!.!.!.!.!.that is why they considered that we have more than 1 soulmate due to the reason that we have lots of comparison to a thousand or million or even billion people! for the reason of having similarities to many people it gives an idea of being compatible to each other!.!.!.!.!.!.

This is a tricky one!.

Individuality is a contradictory state!. It arises from primal bondage and it always leaves some longing for connectedness behind!. On the other hand, there is a primal need for freedom and achievement that fights the need to be embedded!.

The longing for a soulmate is by this theory basically a longing for lost unity with one's mother or a longing for the primal unity of a mother-child unit!. Thus it is a dangerous and sometimes if it is too strong, a pathological thing!.

Nevertheless we all long for it and as fasr as it is under control there is nothing wrong with it!. It is good to find somebody with similar interests, similar way of thinking and similar lifestyle!. But it is important to keep the sense of personal identity, otherwise the bond may become too simbiotic and can seriously endanger personal developement!.

There is another danger!. When falling in love, one thinks he/she found a soulmate, but actually it is not so!. Yes I do actually, I have found mine :) Im actually a lesbian and before meeting my girlfriend, I never believed in soulmates!. But when we fell in love, we both knew we were each others!.
