"It is better to die on your feet than live on your knees" is an analogy for living your life to the fullest and standing up for your beliefs, regardless of the consequences!.

Your theme can be quality over quantity!. Quantity is good, but how satisfying can it be without quality!?

From early childhood we're taught to give everything our all!. Put 110% into everything we believe in!. Life should be no different!. How satisfied would you be if you were to look back on your life and realise that you backed down out of fear to every situation that challenged you!?

Psychologically speaking, people get a sense of achievement out of completion of a task, even if there are bad repercussions!. Thus people who stand up for themselves, their beliefs and fight through every situation that challenges them will have that sense of achievement and satisfaction that those who 'live on their knees' lack!.

I guess it boils down to the importance of living the life you will find most satisfactory; die on your feet, or live on your knees!? Quality, or quantity!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

why would it be better to die anyhow then live on your knees!?Living on your knees may mean living the life of a worker of God,and that would be one hell of a life!.!.!.!.!.!.to live and die on your knees, that would be great

As for dieing on your feet!.!.!.!.!.I'd rather die in my bed then on my feet because the fall might bruise me badly for my funeral

Dignity is worth nothing if you're dead, but of course there are cases and cases!.!.!.if you have children you have no right to put your dignity before your life, but if dignity is all you have, then you must hold on to it,right!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

The quote is from Emiliano Zapata Salazar, one of the revolutionaries who successfully overthrew the corrupy Mexican government in 1910-1911!.

The fatalistic sentiment has been expressed many different ways: A coward dies a thousand deaths, a hero only one!. Or live free or die!.

Benjamin Franklin, urging unity among those leading the American Revolution, "We must hang together or we most assuredly will hang seperately!.
