It is called faith!. Humans need to explain the unexplained and we will do all we can to get it all to make sense!. Karma seems to offer an explanation for suffering and pain!. Most faiths and religions seem to be offering that same type of explanation in different ways!. Any force that allows suffering and pain better have a good explanation for it!. If you don't believe in any explanation, then you are going to walk around pretty hopeless, angry or just plain indifferent to everything and everyone!.Www@QuestionHome@Com If you wait for undeniable evidence to believe in anything then you will never believe in much at all!. For any medical question, for example, there are usually a zillion studies that "prove" one thing, and a zillion studies that "prove" the opposite!. Even if you read about scientific "laws" the scientists admit that they are just theories that have been shown true time and again, but that may someday be replaced by more advanced knowledge!. And no, there is no evidence for Karma, only personal experience!. If you only are good to other people out of a desire to be rewarded or to be avenged then you miss the point of karma altogether anyway!. It's a way of living that promotes peace and treating others as we all want to be treated without thinking of what you can personally get out of it!. Karma is just the natural law of consequences!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I don't know that I'd call it karma, but I think that things generally even out one way or the other!. That's the way it works in physics: matter and energy can't be destroyed or created, and every action has an equal an opposite reaction!. On a more societal level, it's also how economics and politics work!. It's the idea behind supply and demand!. There's no real scientific reason to believe it happens on a personal level!. However, I think the idea of being rewarded for good deeds and punished for bad things is something to keep people going, and is overall a relatively harmless belief!.
