this is a very good question!.

im still wondering myself if there is a "heaven" or if there's such a thing as reincarnation

but i think those who tell others live your life even when they believe in afterlife say that because the life you may be living now might be wonderful and the life you may be living after you die might be horrible in comparison so you should make the best out of what you have now in fear that there might be any chance your afterlife could be worse!.

hope this makes sense and again!.!. great question!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

First, thanks for asking!. Yes, live your life to the fullest with God as your source for answers when wanting to know how to live!. You only have one life here on earth!. After the second coming of Christ, if you have been saved and reborn in his name, you will be takent to heaven in another heavenly life!. Even your appearance will be totally different!. You will live in his kingdom, no pain, suffering, arguing, discomfort of any kind!. So there are 2 lives actually!. One here on earth and the other in heaven!. I hope this answers your question!. If not, then please email me and I will try to be more clear!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Playing to the greed of human beings, for one to obtain a life's worth of benefit, one would be required to make a life's worth of sacrifice!. Doesn't that sound fair!?

There lay the operative words, life and after-life -- to maximize effect with the same amount of efforts by the organizing party!.

If one is able to see religion as its true form -- an organization to control conducts of its members, then one would be able to make sense of the motives, actions and representations taken by such organization!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

religious ppl believe that there is an afterlife, however, that does not mean that this life should just be thrown away!. u only hav one life in THIS life, so u should take advantage of wat u hav!. as 4 the "u only hav one life" religious ppl don't say that cuz they believe it, they prob say it 2 convince others that, again, u only hav one life in THIS life (as you)!.

all the best,
and good luck!!:)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, belief in afterlife itself is a reason for religious people to live their lives and seize opportunities!. Because your deeds in this life is the basis of your afterlife!.
You see, great monotheist religions teach appreciation toward life and at the same time warn people not to surrender to life and it's carnal aspects!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is an interesting question actually!.

A strong part of many religions is the "What happens to you after you die" issue!. If we are here only to prepare for the afterlife then what would be the point of being here in the first place!?

I do not know what death will be like, but I know that it will happen to me eventually!. I do not know when, nor do I like to dwell on the idea!. My memory, and thus my soul, will be carried on through those people that I've touched in my lifetime!.!.!. those I've impacted!.

Our bodies aren't forever but the memories of us will survive much longer!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Because in some religions life is a test you need to pass to have a good after-life!. In others Man was sent to Earth to repent (I don't know if that's the right word) for the Original Sin!. In another religion Man is supposed to improve the Earth and make it a better more prosperous place!. There is no general reason, it just all depends on the religion!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

living your life means living for jesus and bringing peeple into the church and following the bible etc!. the afterlife is either heaven or hell!.!.!.!.depending on how you lived your life before you died!. when god 'sounds the trumpets' we will all be either going into hell or heaven!.!.!.!.this s your afterlife!. we as people will not go but our souls will!. it's all very confusing but i hoped this helpedWww@QuestionHome@Com

There are different views of the afterlife!.
In some beliefs life continues in spirit or reincarnated form!.
In others they just feel a life in heaven or hell is our reward and there things are different from earth so experiance things now because you can't later!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You sound exactly like I did before this happened to me!.

Several years ago I had an unusual experience concerning an uncle, a distant relative who lived over a thousand miles away!.

While driving my car I suddenly felt the unmistakable presence of this relative that I hardly even knew!. He was more like someone I had heard about than someone I knew!. It was very strange; it felt as though I was momentarily lifted right out of my physical body!. I seemed to be suspended somehow beyond space and time, bathed in a love so intense It felt like I could have just disappear into it at any moment if It would have let me!. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it seemed to last forever at the same time!. I realize how crazy this must sound!. The experience was so strong that at first I was afraid I was loosing my grip on reality!. I finally managed to chalk it up to an over active imagination!.

Three days later I got a call from my aunt telling me that this uncle we are talking about had gone into a coma and died the day I had the experience!. It felt like ice water had been poured down my back when she told me this!. I had lost any real ideas of God or faith and had become somewhat of an atheist!. Needless to say this experience caused me to rethink some of the conclusions I had come to!.

I feel blessed to now understand that even in our darkest confusion something loves us so much that it went out of its way to assist me and bring me back to a state of absolute certainty about Gods love for us!.
During the experience it seemed like there was a vast amount of information that I was somehow allowed access to!. One thing that I came away from this experience understanding beyond any shadow of a doubt was that any Idea that God is unhappy with us or would judge or allow us to be punished for any reason is simply impossible!.

I can’t explain the love I felt with words!. They simply don’t make words big enough or complete enough to do this!. The only way I can begin to convey this love to you is to say that there was simply nothing else there!. Nothing but love!. No hint of judgment, no displeasure of any sort!. It is as though God sees us as being as perfect as we were the day we were created!. It is only in our confused idea of ourselves that we seem to have changed!.

I hope this is of some help to you!. Good luck!. Love and blessings!.
