In all honesty, I saw a man speak about a book he wrote regarding this matter on, of all places, The Colbert Report!.
What he talked about made sense!. His idea of robotic lovers *not so much partners* was in the not too far future, say within 50 years the way technology is forging ahead!.

Pretty soon i believe, 100 years max!. Human figured robots are used in medical schools, for sex, etc!.

In order for this to happen the robots must be identical as humans; how they look, how they work, how they react, as well as being civilized, etc!.
