Will a change in you affect a change in me!? Maybe, maybe not!. It may make a major difference in the direction of your life from there on and a difference in the amount of satisfaction you get out of life!.

Something to ponder is whether or not the change in you, as in the way you feel emotionally and the increasing depth of perception and understanding you acquire is actually not you changing yourself, but change happening to you!. Growth is largely something that happens to us along with the needed cooperation on our part!. Firstly, if we assumed this to be true, then you've defeated yourself; since by changing ourselves we are changing something else which inevitably means that it cannot be the case that the "only thing we can change is ourselves"!. Secondly, I fear that an argument used to support this may contain a fallacy of composition, since it seems to be implying what's true of the parts of the whole is true of the whole it self (that is, if we all change our self for the better, then the whole becomes better but is that necessarily true!? Look up the "fallacy of composition"!.)!. Thirdly, I think it will be important for you to clarify the term "change" since it seems to imply a moral element!.
