I think to a certain extent, yes!. What you believe yourself to be is what controls how you think, act, talk, care for people, treat people, etc!. Kids that were raised in bad environments grow up thinking they are bad and act accordingly, and everyone around them views them as bad people!.

Now this whole thing breaks down when people do not have enough information to make an educated judgment of someone else!. I notice it daily!. People usually don't want to listen to anyone else!. They immediately scan for whatever they don't agree with and never actually hear anything the other guy is saying!. Those people often have skewed views of reality on just about every issue!. (I'm sure I do it too!. I just try to be very aware of my biases!.)

That was fun to think about, thanks!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I trust people for congruency, which is being true to yourself!.

In other words, I trust people to do what they in their heart desire, and to not be ignorant of it!. I don't necessarily trust people to be true to me, because I'm not always right!. I believe everyone needs to find their own answers if the ones they already have don't work!. People who do this are all my friends!. :)

Unfortunately, so few people do! ):

Yes, in a way i would have to say that this statement is true!. When someone believes in theirself and it shows, ie: by their confidence, their manner, their self-esteem etc!. it makes others believe in them too!. However, if someone believes that they are bad, ugly and horrible, that doesn't necessarily mean that others will believe the negative!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sometimes if you are convincing enough in your beliefs then this shows confidence and people may believe in you - but i guess it depends on the sort of person you are!.!.if you constantly make plans/say things which do not materialise then people will not believe in you!.

I personally think that self belief is a very powerful tool and essential to succeed in any part of life!.

Hope this helps!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Belief is usually not related to reality!. And what you believe in yourself is rarely what others believe in you!.

I would abandon depending on belief, which is little more than wishes anyway!. Too frail a pot for the stew of life!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No!. Many a times people do things which are against your impression about you , if seen,, through the eyes of the third person!. Its the personality reading of every person which is different according to different mindsWww@QuestionHome@Com

No it's never true!. You can't force someone to believe in you, love you, trust you, or anything!. But it all does start with you and if you believe in yourself they might too!Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's more of how you present the good qualities in yourself through dress, language, politeness, stability, honesty!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
