When I became a dad!. I was in the delivery room!. For such a physical, biological event, it was positively spiritual!.

As Wordsworth said, "But trailing clouds of glory do we come, From God, who is our home: Heaven lies about us in our infancy!"

The best word to describe the experience is "numinous!." It was a combination of several seemingly unrelated sensations; terrifying and uncanny are two of them!.

In that experience, I realized that Newton, Darwin and Freud don't know jack!. By that I don't mean that they are wrong, just that they haven't begun to scratch the surface!. Reality is HUGE: larger and more complex than I had ever imagined!.

There was a point in my life I believed in god, and people told me that it was "feeling the holy spirit"!.

This "feeling the holy spirit" feeling I discovered was the same chemical overdrive I had when I had a rush of aesthetic feeling, like reading a good book, looking at an intense masterpiece artwork, reminiscing good memories, or feeling creative!.

I don't believe in a god anymore!. Life is much better helping others for the sake of helping others instead of rewarding myself to go to heaven!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm 23, some times I feel so dishearted that I question the existance of God, but whenever I have looked back to the past without being selfish, I found that whatever God did, is for my Good only, though there are some unsolved quistions in my mind yet but i hope i will understand 1 day,why He has done so!. I was sick that day and suddenly something seemed to pick me up!. I practically flew up three flights of stairs!. I remember thinking that was one of the weirdest experiences of my life!. Then suddenly thoughts, that didn't seem my own, came into my mind in a rapid series of thoughts!. I was 100% sure that it was telling me that a loved one had just died about 6000 miles away!. Many things that I wouldn't have believed were also told to me and later confirmed!. I went from being an agnostic to believing in a higher being in a matter of seconds!.

I thought it must be god talking to me but I am incapable of faith and it never did tell me who it was!. I don't think that the creator of 100 billion galaxies 14 billion years ago is involved in my life but something certainly was!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
