This is asking a question: it is asking if you had knowledge!. Admittedly, it does not ask what you had knowledge about, but the context of earlier sentences might imply what the knowledge is about!. So if I said: "I am mortal!. Did you know!?" it can be implied that it means "Did you know that I am mortal"!. However to avoid ambiguity, you should use the latter construction!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is possible to think you are asking a question when you are not!. That is how the people in "Hitchhiker's Guide" got the answer "42" when they asked the computer "Deep Thought," the answer to the "ultimate question about life the universe and everything!."

They assumed there was a question in there, but there is not!. You actually have to say the question!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is possible to ask a question without asking a question!. It is really a skill used to gather information from people!. Like lets say you were on the phone with someone and you heard a dog barking in the background (people are obsessed with their pets)!.!.!.You want to know more about the dog!. Then you say "I hear a dog in the background!." 9 of 10 people will automatically tell you all sorts of stuff about that dog!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, it is possible!. When someone ask you a question started with the,"Did you know" and then follow it up with a statement about something, then they are asking if you know what they were talking about!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
