Question:

there have been issues about "ooo, scientists are playing God because of stem cell research and cloning," etc!. but don't u think by saying this, we are limiting God's INFINITE power!? We're saying that humans can attain God's power after all when supposedly we CAN'T because God is God after all, he can do much more than cloning or whatever future advances human kind will achieve!. I wanna hear ur thoughts on this subject!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is really an excellent question I cant wait to get into this!

The problem here as you've said is that people claim that a human creating another human would be some kind of giant trespass against god, well unless its through sexual intercourse of course!. Personally I believe this argument originated from someone within the brainwashing church of Corporate Christianity USA!. Their argument I believe is that it is not our place to create life in unnatural ways I suppose!. But as we continue to advance in modern science and technology we begin to go beyond the limitations of myths!. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say I don't believe in god because I do!. But as so many like to quote "god made man in his image" , to me that means he bestowed upon his the ability to in a sense be our own gods with the ability to grow and experience what it means to be a free individual conscience while still existing within a greater whole!.

If that isn't the issue and the problem is "well god has already assigned a soul to this collection of DNA, how can we interfere with that"!. We already have clones now, their called twins!. Maybe they're not perfect 100% DNA copies, I don't know I'm not sure but they're pretty close!. My point is simply that I don't believe anyone on this earth is capable of outsmarting god!.

i dont believe in god!. and i think stem cell research in incredibly important!. think of all the people who could be saved by the advancements in medical technology!. saying were playing god now is like saying when people started healing people in the first place!. wouldnt saving a life be going against the will of god!? stopping his all mighty plan!? when you restart someones heart with cpr are you spitting in the face of god!? if you are i wouldnt be alive, its saved my life!. take it from someone who has technically died, saving a life is worth potentially upsetting a man who basically created his own reality tv show!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

When they say scientists are playing God they don't mean they're achieving His ultimate power!. I believe they are referring to the fact that the creation of life (like cloning) should be limited to God only, not humans!. I don't think it's meant to belittle God's infinite power!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yea you're right, even tho I don't believe in god, why should we limit our knowledge!? What if we found the cure to cancer!? AIDS!? We can use it and ironically solve the population growth in developing countries!. With a higher standard of living also comes with education, more freedom of choice, and the freedom to choose not to have children!.
