Neither generation has it better!. Each generation of people has the same kinds of challenges, heartache, hard work and sacrifice, lessons to learn, sorrows and tragedies, make mistakes, learn, change, suffer loss and gain, and grow!.

The world changes but people are experiencing the same basic things over and over as each generation takes its turn at life!. It's just different generations, in different ways, experiencing the same things in their own time period!.
This is precisely why I believe we are spirit beings having a human experience!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Since the older generation that we have today is predominantly Baby Boomers!.!. I'd have to say the younger!.

The Younger, particularly those who are 20 and under are going to have to mature and adjust to changes in lifestyle and the absense of luxury that no one since ww2 has had to deal with!. They are going to have to be more resourceful, more survivalist, and for the most part, they will have to turn their back on evrything they know as history of the past 20th century in order to survive the 21st!.

The rude awakening started with my generation, but there were only 17 million Gen X people!. Those who came after my generation were called the echo boomers because most of them were born from post-yuppie, post-hippie baby boomers in the economically booming 80's!. They became somewhat lazier than Boomers, but seem to have had more opportunity slightly and less fiscal exploitation than mine!. Still, their children are going to see the crumbling of the West, the maturation of American culture to a British-esque resolve as a nation, not an empire!.!.!.and the classes will be divided more strictly into two economic castes!.

Eventually, they'll be more contributing to society without being wasteful!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Definitely the older generation!. As far as technology is concerned all this did was make it easier to be lazy and less resourceful!. don't get me wrong I like to be comfortable but when i listen to the stories that my parents and grandparents told I realized that the older generation was more contented and not as restless as we are today!. People were more considerate and nice and not as phony either!. I wish things were still like that today!.
Global Warming- When I was younger in the spring time there were lots and lots of butterflies and caterpillars!.!.!.!.now you hardly see them and i miss them very much!

Education-People really used to value and seek knowledge and it was not as available!.!.!.now it is and is not as valuable anymore!. People are mainly "going throgh the motions" and not really going in depth to understand what they are supposed to learn!. It is more about how much money one can make and not necessarily about what one can contribute to society!. Sorry to be so cynical, but this is what i notice!.

Degradation of culture-Anything goes now!.

When I was part of the younger generation, it was us!. Now that I am part of the older generation, I can honestly say, it is the younger generation those creeps!.

No, just kidding!. A couple of the over 40 crowd asked the other lawyers, under 30, who were the Hatfields and McCoys!. Most had never heard of them!. Young people have the advantage of "the cutting edge" but we older folks have the advantage of having come of age in a time that was so much more simple & peaceful easier on the soul in most ways!. The things done today ( call me old fashion ) would have different names!. Today the things that are acepted as norm are vulgar and smug!. Fast paced, no one helps out any more!. I grew up in an era of counterculture!. Much of what I learned is illegal today, or at least unwise!. I grew up in a free world that didn't exist before say 1962 and stopped existing about 1982!. It was a terrible time to be alive, but everything afterwards sucks!.

I can't imagine trading Feminism for Xbox or Free Love for Safe Sex!. (By the way Feminism and Free Love are DEAD, so don't try this at home!.)

We looked forward to a brighter better future!. Now we are looking down a long tunnel of global warming, grand theft auto editions and deteriorating republican administrations!. I hate to say it but Nixon was a genius compared to what they trot our nowadays as the next Darth Vader, (Star Wars, 1976; by '82 it was all playing with cuddly toy animals!.)

I can't imagine anyone would say the IPhone makes up for MRSA, or Clinton is a better childhood memory than Johnson!.*

I've been curious about this lately!. Where did people get this idea that we are so different from people 30, 100, 500 years ago!? We all say that we are in our infancy as a species, we all understand that, and yet we place this strange veil between us and those that came before us!. Like they lived in lollipop land and danced with elves all day or something!.
