I personally think cynicism is a form of naivety!. Thinking of the world in such dark and fatalistic terms is often an undeveloped perspective!.!.!.!. and usually, the truth about life isn't so dark and painful, but it's more that life is what we make of it!. That being the case, cynics are just as wrong as the naive!.

But that's just my opinion!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That goes along with the statement "Ignorance is bliss!." I guess!. Keep yourself innocent as long as possible, because cynical people are the most miserable people I know!.

I don't know alot of people that have alot of knowledge of the world, and are still happy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Cynicism doesn't replace naivete!. Naivete is, in my terms, not only innocence and bliss but also a lack of a fear!. So, I believe cynicism is just fear of new knowledge!. It's the upgraded version of ignorance -- a little more complicated but bereft of bliss!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That's true of course, but I wonder how we would like to live in a straightforward and simple world full of innocence and naivety!. Cynicism is a good exercise for the brain, even as it is absolutely unavoidable these days!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Cynicism is merely an over-simplification to the left, where innocence is an over-simplification to the right (no political reference intended) - neither one wholly describes the word, which is full of good and bad!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yes a cynic is just an idealist who recognises the hypocrisy of those around him!.

Cynicism IS a form of naivety I suppose!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
