(the measurement of 'galvanic skin response' was an attempt to quantify lying but it is hardly scientific - ie, its not reliable or repeatable enough) Polygraph machines are not entirely scientific and require a lot of subjective analysis from the operator!.Www@QuestionHome@Com With some people it is hard to tell because they get so used to doing it that there is no change in them!. Most people have a harder time lying if they can look you in the face!. This is like confronting the person with the lie and is hard for the liar to do!. There is a lot of motion with the hands and body too!. They have a harder time remaining still!. A person that is a good lyer does not care and when you do not care then it is really hard to tell if they lie or not!. There is no emotion with the lie!. Usually they will turn away or look down while telling their lie!.Www@QuestionHome@Com It's hard to tell unless i am looking at them then they can't look you in the eye' looking down all fidgety!.On the phone i can tell sometimes if they get their stories all mixed up or they cannot remember what they told you last time !.It's really kind of hard if you know not that person but if you know them' this is all the scientific i need and with my gut feelings as they never let me down!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com A person's eyes can tell you a lot about whether or not they are being truthful!. That's what poker players use!. For example, my little brother laughs just after he lies!. Some people fidget with something like their hair, clothes, etc!. while others look away or make a certain face (like arching an eyebrow or pursing their lips)!.
