So should we just base our living on whats right & whats wrong or should there be a higher power(spiritual being, God) that determines right & wrong, law & lawlessness, & we follow those guide lines!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I base right and wrong according to the bible!. I believe that Jesus Christ is the God of the universe and the foundation of what is right and wrong!. He tells us what is right and what is wrong in his living word (the bible)!. Otherwise, if you don't believe in God, then there is no set of right and wrong!. Everything is "relevant" which basally means it could go either way!. There is no set standard which is a very scary thought!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I'm an atheist and I think I do good!. I don't need a god to guide my actions!. I know that if what I'm doing hurts other people or myself, than I should change what I'm doing!. Sometimes, though, it's tought to see what exactly is right and what exactly is wrong, and that's just life!. In these situations, I use my best judgement!. I think it was Bentham who promoted the most happiness for the most people, which is something I agree with!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Your so right, if we follow the guidelines of what makes us moral and learn every day from Him!. I don't think we need a higher power to determine what is 'right' or 'wrong' we already have that!. It is called the "Ten Commandants"!. And we don't follow that very well at all!.
