Question: If enough people believe that something is true does it become the truth!?

I do!. It's just like asking a question, but you already have your version of the answer!. No matter what the other person says, your truth is the truth!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No!.
There is always a difference between the truth and an assumption or theory!.
Take for example, if a book hidden underneath is black in colour but every body believes or guesses that it is Red,does it make the book Red!?No, my dear!.
Therefore, the truth will always remain the truth no matter how large the number of people who do not believe in it, is!.
I also believe that even if people don't believe or don't see it the way you do, or is supposed to be, it will come a time/day when they will defiantly realize that it was supposed to be the way you where seeing it,that is if it is/was the truth!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yes!. in the older editions of the guiness book of records it states that the largest single monilith is a rock called mount augustus, in western australia!.

hardly anyone has heard of mount augustus, and it is not a major tourist attraction!. it is largely thought that the biggest rock in the world is uluru (ayres rock) in the northern territory in australia!. as popular perception gave way to the truth, the later editions of the guiness book of records state that uluru is the largest!.

mount augustus is nearly twice the size of uluru, but it is not very well known and is not an icon!. the publishers have simply chosen what the public thinks(or wants) rather than the facts!.

this has always infuriated me, a book presenting itself as factual is subject to the whims of public perception!. it shouldn't matter what most people think is correct, it should matter what is actually correct!.

i'm sure there are many examples of this in history, but this is my pet hate!. sorry for the rant!. maybe if everyone says i'm wrong i'll change my mind!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No its not enough!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.truth varies from person to person, situation to situation and also depends of various percesptions!.!.!.!.hence its not necessary that what all people believe is true!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.just like it was once believed by whole world that earth was flat but was that true!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, not at all!. Enough people believed that the sun went around the Earth, even though it is the Earth that goes round the sun!. Such a belief is forgivable, considering that we see the sun rising as opposed to seeing the Earth turn!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Truth is one of those hard ideas!. concepts to define!. A certain truth to somebody can be fallacy to others!. The answers are based on the experiences that each person had been through!. Therefore, I believe that there is no 'real' truth!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No!. Just about everyone used to believe that the world was flat, and that it was the centre of the universe!. That didn't make it true!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is why as much as we loathe them, they do serve a useful purpose!. The cynic!. Furthermore I find your question not only twisted but but by it very nature subject to the answer you wish to receive! lolWww@QuestionHome@Com

Everyone believed that the Earth was flat before Columbus sailed around it; but he still sailed around it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Nope, but it can become dangerous to challenge those people on the subject!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It just means that enough people are following!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Only if you define truth in terms of belief!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Only for narrow minded morons who give the poor sheep a bad name!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Any cultist would say yes!.!.!.!.!.!.!.mass influence exists!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
