Question: Do you think that IT IS WISE to acknowledge your own ignorance to others!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Yes, a wise person knows that he knows nothing and a fool thinks they know it all!.
When you realize that most people really do not have any more of a clue about anything then you do yourself then there is no reason to fear in telling others this!.
Most people do not test the things they are told themselves, they do not verify what they are taught they just assume that it is true because it sounds reasonable and it makes people comfortable to think that they know things, do not get me wrong I like to learn to, but unlike most I realize that what I do learn is just what other people have said until I verify it by personally experiencing the evidence first hand!.
I have faith that an informed source has no reason to say things that are not true, but I really do not know alot of things I just know what I have been told about alot of things!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The wise are aware that ignorance is the first part of a really good question!. The willfully ignorant and lazy want the world and its answers to remain static and unchanging --- despite all evidence to the contrary!. This is the path of the coward who fears all change!.

Those who choose to ask, reach beyond themselves; and this act demands courage!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think it's better than pretending to know something you don't!. Ever hear someone talk like they know what they're talking about but it's obvious to you they don't!?!? Then they do look ignorant!. And all you can do is stare at them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Everyone is ignorant in some way!. To pretend you are entirely not ignorant is ignorant in itself! People take having a perfect image too seriously nowadays, come on people!!!! We aren't freakin robots!!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Most people appreciate humility!.

I mean Socrates did, and look how appreciated he his now, a few thousand years later!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You have to judge or know the individual first!. Some will use your acknowledgment against you later!. This I know unfortunately from experience!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
