it used to make sense!. it was "paraded" as you say to show unity between the nations!. they are called Olympic GAMES!. this kind of puts emphasis on the fact that although there is certainly the serious element to them!. they are something to be enjoyed by everyone!. weather taking part or watching!.
unfortunately, there are some people and indeed, whole countries that feel it is a platform to air their political and religious beliefs!.
although some sympathy can be shown to these people, i think that they should protest in different ways and leave one of the few opportunities left for the whole world to get on alone!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
