He was obviously a free thinker and therefore Aristotle would appeal to his logical mind!. I believe your confusion stems from the fact that once upon a time, Islam was enlightened, while now all we get is freaks who want to drag us back to the 8th Century!. Wacko fundamentalists get all the press!. Islam once was great due to thinkers like Averros, but since his time they have regressed into animalistic emotionalism!. What have they done for us lately!? There may still be great thinkers in Islam, but we never hear of them, all American media tells us is that they are the great unwashed!. Us Americans may be brainwashed!. The website you cited is an example of the better parts of Islam which we seldom see!. Read up on this guy, I believe your confusion will seem less important!. The fact is that the fundamental Truth in all religions are same only!. All religions are different paths to attain The Same Single Truth only!. At present as all religions' heads inability to under stand / realize The Truth (God) clearly is the major problem!. also the imaginary strong boundary drawn around the religions could not be redrawn the boundary is the main hurdles for the people to attain the Truth!. This is also the fact and one other major factor / hurdle particularly for Muslims & Christians!. The Muslim God concept is really great when comparing the others but they dont have the proper path to suit the present intellect mind!. The Christian conept of Truth (God) and sins are totally misunderstood!.Buddhism have some exception in that respects!. Hindus are more liberal and have two different paths to follow- one for ordinary people and the other for intellects mind which is known as Conscious Path (Gna Margam)!. Some of the Hindus like RSS by the so calle bramins(invadedAryans) to retain hold they established by attaing political power are trying to make Hindu's religion as others ( christian & Muslim) and even suceeded to some extend in the northern part of India!.
