Question: Does anything exist beyond our observation!?
One could argue that anything which is not directly or indirectly observed does not exist!.

Therefore, does the future exist, or only the past!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

In what sense is the past observed!? You open a book, you see a publishing date, you search your mind and find a whole story about dates, events, and such, but the book and your mind's contents could both have been created milliseconds ago (oops, even that presupposes a past), nanoseconds ago (still that presumptive "ago"!) !.!.!.!.

Isn't the past as much an inference from immediately present data as the future!? It's not as if we were in better agreement about it than the future -- consider any 2 siblings arguing about what really happened!.

Perhaps all there is is a timeless present!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

the future does exist, just not yet!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The future is tomorrow & YES, it exists!.

Does the past exist!?! We all know that it does, so!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

actually memory is constructed, so the past may not exist either!. :)

i think there's much more beyond our observation than there is within it!. our physical bodies limit us to just five senses with which to perceive things with!. and those senses are limited too (ie how far we can see, spectrum of visible light, pitches of sound we can hear, etc)Www@QuestionHome@Com

our future is not promised and nothing is set in stone!.
who are we to decide that what we observe is not just a figment of our minds, that all we remember ever actually was!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Kind of sounds like solipsism, or the concept that your mind (and therefore your personal experience) is the only thing that you can know for certain exists!. I have always believed that the present is the only absolute truth because although the past technically "exists" it is impossible to experience!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

As opposition to that argument, many of our emotions bring about the same effect on our bodies!. So, how do we know love exists if you have not individually observed it!? What about the things that have been observed by others and passed on through confidence!? How do you know China exists!? Have you personally observed it!?

When talking in a spiritual sense, many people feel they have personally observed God in action, so you would have to decide to take that in confidence or not!.

Time is not a thing, but a concept of continuum!. Time itself does not exist, but we have created a way to observe time!. We may not observe the future, so actually it doesn't exist!.!.!.!. yet!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Its two way theory!. Nothing that is not observed now it does not mean it does not exists!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Observation is only one of the ways we interpret information!.
Have you ever turned off the lights on a summer night and hear the one annoying whine of a lone mosquito!? You didn't observe it but its presence is undeniable!. That is a very basic example but I don't think we are an adequate tool to measure the depths of what constitutes reality!.
My thoughts!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think the future does not exist, until it becomes the present!. The past has already existed, therefore it does not exist in the present!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Quantum mechanics has shown that standing wave functions decohere (geometrically precipitate into form) without necessarily requiring either physical energy or mass processes!.

Thus, a standing wave function may exist, whose effects are mysteriously or untraceably precipitated!. This is an understandable definition of Creative Mind!.

Indirect observation of such would include e!.g!. the predicted, by an Angel to a child, coalescence of a Wafer of Light in thin air!. It was filmed by sceptics, observed by many, transected basic laws of physics, was perfectly formed, and fulfills kantian requirements for future metaphysics!. However, what brought it to pass is not even indirectly observable!.

Our very best scientists, using the very best of equipment can only detect a small percentage of what we believe to exist in the universe!.

We call the stuff that we believe to be there 'dark matter' and 'dark energy'!.

We, as a species are only just starting out, as far as scientific discovery is concerned!.

The idea that because we don't yet know about it, it doesn't exist, is laughable!.

The future doesn't yet exist!. If you mean, is it predetermined!? Then no!. The past has ceased to exist!. That doesn't mean we can't remember it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Object permanence seems to be established for most infants at eight to nine months of age!. Nobody is that far behind on YA I hope!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
