If things were to continue *exactly* as they are now, with no drastic change for the better on the horizon, I think the end would either come in the form of:

A) Nuclear something-or-another between two timid, trigger-happy nations, which would ultimately trigger Global Cooking (a painful way to die)!.

B) Gradual decay into cultural oblivion!.!.!. and then I wouldn't care how the end comes - nobody would be living to begin with!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, personally I don't believe that the world will ever actually "end!." But I do believe that our existence may end soon!. If I had to guess a date, I would say December 21, 2012, the end of the Mayan calender!. I think that humans existence on earth will end and a new species will be born!.
