pain is a reminder!.
its either good or bad depend on how you look at it!.

it remind us to be careful!.
it remind us of our imperfection!.

yet there are people who are addicted to pain!.
eg; Sadist, extremists!.
do you want pain as you friend!?

pain can trigger anger which lead to more pain!.

I think that the phrase means that you can always inflict pain (mentally/physically) upon yourself whenever you desire, and that means it is always around like a friend would be!. Pain isn't all too good for the health, but it helps aiding in getting things off your wind, thus making it 'good!.' When you're dead you can't feel pain, so it means you are alive!. If you are still alive, you still can 'feel' emotionally or physically!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
